RSM UNITY

RSM UNITY was established in 2010 as the result of the integration of two firms with long experience in Uruguay –MRI CPAs and Montaldo & Associates. Quality and service effectiveness combined with technical accuracy are part of their common background and the hallmark of this newly combined professional practice.

RSM UNITY provides accounting, auditing, consulting and tax services to the local and international public and private sector. It offers the highest quality standards in its services under the conditions and needs of its demanding clients.

RSM UNITY has two offices, one located in the center of the city of Montevideo and the other in Zonamérica (Montevideo Free Trade Zone), with a total of ninety team members who excel in the personal attention, professionalism and value sought by our clients.

Montaldo & Associates joined RSM International in 1990, having been founded in 1957 by CPA Oscar J. Montaldo, who has an extensive professional background. He was president for six consecutive periods of the CPA College of Uruguay, president of the Inter-American Accounting Association and president of the Latin Committee of Integration of Europe-America (CILEA), which joins together 27 Latin countries of America and Europe. Mr. Montaldo is member of the Spanish Accounting and Administration Association, and is president of the Uruguay and Brazil Chamber of Commerce. In 2007 he was awarded "Benemeritus CPA of the Americas".

The management board of RSM UNITY is formed by:

• CPA Jorge Gutfraind, who is Professor of Auditing at the University of the Republic of Uruguay and University of Montevideo, Board Member of CPA College of Uruguay and president of the Auditing Committee of the CPA College of Uruguay (1999-2006), IFRS Consultant at Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF/BIRF-2009), author of technical publications on Audit and Accounting.
