Audit

RSM International is one of a handful of international accounting networks to have developed worldwide audit methodologies and standards for use by its members.

The use of common audit methodologies and standards underlies the uniformity and transparency sought by global companies in their cross-border audits.

RSM firms in Latin America also maintain an ongoing program of quality assurance, including regular peer review inspections to support proper use of methodologies and compliance with standards.

These programs are expensive to launch and maintain, and most international networks don’t bother. But such programs are the only means to enable national members  of  an international network to employ the same methods in performing audit work that comports with common standards of ethics and practice.

In the rollout of its full audit program, RSM International has focused efforts first on the world markets with the greatest need for cross-border audit work. RSM affiliates which have completed the RSM audit and inspection program are denominated Members.

RSM affiliates which have not yet been able to fully adopt RSM’s audit methodologies are denominated Correspondents.

These are excellent firms, often leaders in their countries, but typically located in markets with lower need and priority.

All RSM affiliates in Latin America are proud of their involvement in RSM International’s programs and happy to discus their progress in adopting common audit methodologies, training their people, and meeting the demanding quality standards expected by global companies.
